  • Cycling Routes and Trails
  • Trails

The Waterfront Trail offers breathtaking, elevated views of Lake Ontario and the chance to get off the cycling trail and sink your toes into sandy beaches. (60 km)

  • Cycle along the north shore of Lake Ontario from west of Port Hope to Brighton.
  • Take in the towns and villages of Cobourg, Grafton and Colborne in between.
  • Enjoy shopping, dining or picnicking along Lake Ontario on this relaxed tourism cycling route.
  • The Cobourg to Quinte West part of the cycling trail takes you to farm fresh destinations and by the gates of Presqu'ile Provincial Park.

GO with Your Bike

In Toronto, during non-rush hours you can take the GO Lakeshore East Train (leaves every 30 mins) with your bike on board. Disembark at the end of the line, which is Oshawa, and head 1 km east on Bloor Street, then south on Park Rd. S. to connect with the Waterfront Trail at Stone St. (6 kms in total GO Station to Waterfront Trail).

Visit WaterfrontTrail.org for more information on this Ontario cycling trail.
