Your pet can have a vacation too. There are some nearby places for your four-pawed kiddies to stay while you take in an attraction or do some shopping in Northumberland County.

Get Active with your Furry Friend
Want to take your furry friend into nature? The Northumberland County Forest's hiking trails allow dogs on leash. Equine users are welcome too.
You can also take your dog for a run, to play ball or to meet some new friends at a number of off-leash dog parks in Northumberland County.
- Cobourg's Dog Park on Ontario Street has a huge space with an open field and a shaded corner with towering pines.
- Port Hope's Dog Park on Baulch Road is close to the 401 and also has a playground for kids so it's a great place to let the whole family stretch.
- Brighton's Dog Park on County Road 64 provides a welcoming space for dogs with both a large dog and small dog area.
