Spring Fun that Flows

From maple syrup festivals to lilacs coming into bloom, spring offers everything fresh and new in Northumberland. See baby goats and animals at nearby farms. Watch the amazing steelhead run on the Ganaraska River – or see local fair-weather enthusiasts floating down the Ganny on fun rafts.

Summer Waterway Festivals

With the waters of Lake Ontario and the Trent-Severn Waterway nudging up against our shores, festivals that offer cooling lakefront breezes are in season. You'll also find fishing events, outdoor markets, local food and drink celebrations, and summer concerts in parks, on hills, and even in a timber frame barn.

Fall Road Trips and Colours

Mixed forests and quiet country roads showing brilliant colours make Northumberland an ideal fall destination, with must-stop spots in our waterway trail towns. Giant corn mazes and pumpkin patches are part of harvest celebrations here, as well as apple orchards, fresh fall baking, and farmers' markets.

Winter Shopping and Magic

Holiday shopping is wonderful here amongst twinkling light festivals and hot chocolate trails. After the holidays, you can ring in January by tasting craft brews or the best in local comfort food. Family events in February range from ice fishing to getting up close to warm and woolly alpacas.
