Northumberland's Theatre District Spans the Entire County
In Port Hope, see live theatre, films, concerts and more at Capitol Theatre, Ontario's only "atmospheric theatre". Sit back and take in the magical, starry setting.
Attend a live concert, special musical or film tribute at the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall in one of Ontario's most admired historic venues (circa 1860) in downtown Cobourg.
Be entertained by the Northumberland Players at the Second Street Firehall Theatre, an historic firehall near Cobourg's waterfront. It's home to a talented group of actors and friends of the theatre, which started 40 years ago.
Westben brings people together through music and nature. The original performance venue is a custom-built, timber-frame barn. On sunny days, from June to September, the massive walls and doors roll away, allowing music to waft over the surrounding meadow. Performances range from Bach to Broadway, opera to jazz, folk, fiddle, Indigenous, rock and comedy.
Brighton Barn Theatre offers its patrons award-winning acting and directing in an informal setting. When you come to a show in the Barn, you’ll be able to put aside your day-to-day worries and cares as you laugh, cry or even bite your nails while enjoying our performances. The theatre typically puts on two major theatrical productions each year and often produces a summer and a Christmas show.
Enjoy select performances like live theatre and dinner theatre from the Northumberland Players at Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre.
You'll be inspired by this award-winning theatre group. Based out of Second Street Firehall Theatre, the Northumberland Players bring quality theatre to the whole family.
Performing at Victoria Hall's Concert Hall, the Victorian Operetta Society (VOS) started in 1990. Members are dedicated to featuring actors, musicians, dancers and singers from across Northumberland County.
