Trent Hills offers the beauty of country living. You can see working farms, friendly people, outdoor adventure and some of the most Instagram-worthy rural landscapes in Ontario. Clear waters call you to cast off and fish for the catch of the day or boat the Trent-Severn Waterway. You can also take a driving tour, see a live performance at Westben or stroll through Ferris Provincial Park and make your way across the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge.
The key communities in Trent Hills are Campbellford, Hastings, and Warkworth all offer their own unique experiences.
Campbellford is the largest community in the municipality and has a number of unique tourist attractions. Some of our favourites include:
Hastings is known as "The Hub of the Trent". Sitting on the Trent River, it is the gateway to Rice Lake. The town has won WFN's Ultimate Fishing Town in Canada! The Hastings Village Marina has a deck right by the water. View the first dam ever built on the Trent in 1844. Be amazed at the highest rate of water flowing through dam chutes as anglers compete for trophy fish from the bridge. Many local artists and farmers sell their products locally through farm stores and farmers markets. Living on the 100 mile diet is easy in Hastings and shopping locally tastes SO sweet.
Whether you like to garden, hike or shop, Warkworth is a great place to visit. Come in the spring and attend the Warkworth Lilac Festival. Warkworth is a friendly country village with rolling hills and farmland, but it also has plenty of uptown style with its shops and food options. Speaking of food, food lovers won't want to miss Eat in the Park. Held in August each year, Mill Park becomes a hotspot for local food.
