Lilac Tour

NorthumberlandTourism.com/lilacs

Breathe in the beautiful fragrance of the Northumberland County Lilac Tour at the end of May. Spot purple and white blooms all around you. Have a scenic picnic, pass cows and sheep on quiet backroads, or discover roughly 80 varieties of lilacs along the Millennium Lilac Trail.

CYCLING ROUTES

NorthumberlandTourism.com/cycling

Bring your bike and discover the best of Northumberland County’s back roads, views and villages on our mapped cycling routes. You'll find “a little bit of everything in a beautiful bundle of hills.” We've outlined average slope and total distance for you.

FISH MIGRATION

Stop at Corbett's Dam or the nearby Fish Ladder to see where 8,000 spawning rainbow trout make the spring run upstream – or see spawning salmon jump in the fall. Standing on the bridge overlooking the Ganny (Ganaraska River) in historic Port Hope will bring lots of thrilling surprises. Visit the Municipality of Port Hope's website for all the fish migration details.

GOLF COURSES

NorthumberlandTourism.com/golf

Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge

15 Trent Dr., Campbellford
NorthumberlandTourism.com/bridge

On the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge you can feel the thrill of being suspended high above a gorge on a metal bridge that, if you dare look down, lets you see the water flowing beneath you. Plus, view the sites of Campbellford nearby. This 93-m-long (300-ft.-long) suspension bridge is located along the Trans Canada Trail.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park
