Fishing

Northumberland is one of the most diverse fishing hot spots in Ontario, and a perfect destination for families who want to share the excitement of a great catch! From bass and crappie to perch and pickerel, a wide variety of different species can be found in the region. During the spring and fall, the Ganaraska River draws people from far and wide to fish the spectacular trout and salmon.

For over 150 years, Rice Lake has been a prime destination for people who like fishing.  Whether for Pan Fish, Walleye, Bluegill, Muskie or Bass.  It's often said that Rice Lake has more fish per acre than any other lake in Ontario.
