Bike Train (VIA Rail Toronto to Cobourg)
The Bike Train initiative keeps building upon its success. The award-winning project introduced bike racks on board select VIA Rail departures between Toronto and Niagara Falls in 2007, and its number of passengers keep growing each year. The Bike Train seamlessly integrates train travel with cycling by adding bike racks, knowledgeable staff and useful information onboard.
Once you disembark at the Cobourg train station after your train excursion with scenic views of Lake Ontario, you're 9 small blocks away from the Waterfront Trail at the Cobourg marina. You can either head east towards Kingston or west towards Toronto.
