• In conjunction with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority hosts the Tackle Share Program out of their administration office at 2216 Cty Rd 28 in Port Hope. • Ontario Family Fishing Week is in July. Bring the whole family to fish Northumberland waterways license free.
• Victoria Park provides a basketball court and a wonderful children's playground and splash pad (free)
• Pine Ridge Flyers fly every Sunday between April and September (weather permitting) at 10 am. Bring a lawn chair and watch as these model aircraft dazzle the sky.

• The Big Apple in Colborne has a miniature golf facility, mini outdoor train ride, mini zoo, playground, climb to the top of the giant apple (free).  Gift shop (clothing section not suitable for children under 14) and restaurant.
• Northshore Lanes Bowling at the Northumberland Mall in Cobourg (905) 372-3711
• Cobourg's east pier on a windy day is the place to be with the car as the waves crash over the end of the pier giving your car a free wash. If you are lucky, on Sunday mornings, you may catch the fire department filling their truck up with water and testing their hoses.

• Empire Cheese Factory, Campbellford - Only cheese plant left in County.  Cheese is made the original way in small vats, many flavours of Colby, and ages of cheddar. Cheese made every day except Sunday.  Leave with a mouthful of warm, squeaky cheese (705) 653-3187.
• Take the kids on an afternoon car rally or try one of our themed driving tours.
