Celebrate spring in Northumberland at one of many festivals, events and live performances. To kick off the spring season, watch as participants brave the cold waters of the Ganaraska River at Float Your Fanny Down The Ganny in Port Hope.

	View wild flowers at Ferris Provincial Park during the annual Trillium Walk or treat mom to the Mother's Day Wildflower Walk through the Ganaraska Forest. Explore the county with the Lilac Driving Tour out to the Warkworth Lilac Festival where over 72 varieties of lilacs will be on display! Experience the rich diversity of Northumberland's gorgeous gardens during the Heart of Northumberland Garden Tour or view beautiful heritage homes at the Ganaraska Studio Tour. Northumberland is known for its large collection and apple orchard's that bloom beautifully in the spring at the Apple Blossom Tyme Festival.
	Pack your fishing gear and load up the car! Bring the whole family out to catch some fun, relaxation and really cool prizes at the Rice Lake Fishing Festival. Be sure to attend the Bewdley Arena Annual Fish Fry, Seymour Family Fishing Day and Warkworth's Children's Fishing Derby. Presqu'ile Provincial Park in Brighton is one of the best birding locations in Ontario! View the elusive whimbrel and many colourful warblers at the Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend.
	Every Saturday you can taste the county's fresh fair at Farmers' Markets in Cobourg, Port Hope, Hastings, Campbellford and Brighton. Cobourg's Highland Games celebrates Scottish Highland Heritage with a Ceilidh, celtic entertainers and of course strong men and women games.
