As the snows starts to melt and the lakes and rivers thaw it's time for Float Your Fanny Down The Ganny in Port Hope! Watch participants race down the frigid and swift-moving Ganaraska River in canoes, kayaks and crazy crafts. This time of year also has the sap running in the maple trees, so a visit to our maple sugar bushes is a must.

Go birding at Presqu'ile Provincial Park over the Victoria Day long weekend to view warblers and whimbrels as they migrate to their summer nesting grounds at Warblers & Whimbrels Weekend. The event is aimed at those just starting out as birders or for those who would like to learn more. Naturalist-led bird hikes take place at 6:30 am, 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday & Sunday.
