Northumberland is a favourite destination for group getaways such as weddings, business conventions and sporting tournaments.

A unique and different destination is the Ganaraska Forest Centre which is a very modern multi-use facility that sleeps 80 guests in dormitory-style rooms. Outside are pine and hardwood forests that speak to history, multiple uses and conservation. Running alongside the Forest Centre are 2 large provincial trails: Ganaraska Hiking Trail and the Oak Ridges Hiking Trail. New in March of 2012 is the chance to go Treetop Trekking with your group - an adult jungle gym that shouldn't be missed.
